Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast is a certifying partner of the Presidential Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) that honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation. The PVSA recognizes student and adult volunteers who have achieved the required number of hours of service over a 12-month period or cumulative hours over the course of a lifetime.
• United States citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States (i.e., green card holder)
• Must be at least five years old
• Completes eligible service within a 12-month period from October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024 (for annual Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards) or over a lifetime (for Lifetime Achievement Awards)
• Must be a registered Girl Scout of California’s Central Coast Eligible Service:
Unpaid acts of volunteer service benefiting other Service through national service programs that provide a stipend (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) may count towards the lifetime Achievement Award*, but not for the annual Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards Travel stipends, transit/parking passes, membership passes expense reimbursements and other nominal volunteer support do not impact service eligibility
