Girls receive 3 interactive books, attend 4 guided Daisy Buddies meetings, make new friends, and begin their Girl Scout journey with the full intent of launching a troop together.

What is Daisy Buddies?

Daisy Buddies is a troop formation initiative designed to bring together families with graduating Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten girls so they can start new Girl Scout Daisy troops together.

By the end of the Daisy Buddies meetings, families are ready to begin meeting as their own Girl Scout Daisy troop since Kindergarten is the first year to join Girl Scouts.

What Happens After Daisy Buddies

After Daisy Buddies, girls and families continue their journey together as a Daisy troop.

How Daisy Buddies Works

1. Register Year-Round

Families register for Daisy Buddies whenever they are ready to begin. Once registered, they begin receiving program materials and updates.

2. Receive 3 Interactive Books

Each Daisy Buddy receives a Welcome Activity Packet, Daisy Launch Calendar, and What Do Daisies DO? booklet to begin exploring Girl Scouts at home.

3. Attend 4 Guided Meetings

Girls & caregivers attend 4 staff-led Daisy Buddies meetings designed to make friends, introduce Girl Scout traditions, and prepare for troop launch.

4. Launch a Daisy Troop

The goal of the initiative is clear: bring families together and form brand-new Girl Scout Daisy troops in the community.

The success of Daisy Buddies is the formation of new Daisy troops. The four meetings are intentionally designed to bring girls and caregivers together to launch a troop.

Girls will make friends, participate in Girl Scout activities, and learn about traditions, the Girl Scout Promise and Law, and what Daisy troop meetings look like.

How much does membership cost? toggle arrow

Girl membership is $65 annually, or $91 for extended year membership from April 1 through July 25, which includes 18 months of membership. Financial assistance is available.
