Wild Encounters at Moorpark Teaching Zoo!
Get ready for a wildly exciting day at the Moorpark Teaching Zoo on Saturday, August 15th! This adventure is packed with hands-on experiences, amazing animals, and unforgettable moments with your fellow Girl Scouts.
Start your day by jumping in to help with a special project for the animals—a fun and meaningful way to give back to the zoo’s incredible residents. Then, enjoy an exclusive private Animal Ambassador presentation, where you’ll get up close and learn all about some fascinating animal friends!
After that, the zoo is yours to explore! Take your time discovering exhibits, complete a fun scavenger hunt, check out training demonstrations, and maybe even chat with animal keepers. Keep your eyes open—you might spot an animal ambassador at an exploration station along the way!
Schedule of the Day:
10:15 AM | Arrival & Special Animal Project
11:00 – 11:30 AM | Private Animal Ambassador Presentation
11:30 – 12:00 Break for Lunch in private picnic area (there is a refrigerator in our picnic area to put your lunch or drinks in when you arrive in the morning)
12:00 PM – 4:00 PM | Explore the Zoo on your own
