Get ready for an unforgettable two-hour ocean adventure in beautiful Avila Bay! Girl Scouts will explore the sights, sounds, and secrets of the sea while learning about the rich natural and cultural history of the Central Coast. After a fun and engaging introduction, girls will step into the role of real marine scientists—working together to explore life below the surface.
Out on the water, participants will help collect and identify local marine organisms, observe ocean habitats up close, and investigate water quality using simple scientific tools. From tiny critters to big discoveries, girls will learn how scientists study the ocean and why protecting marine ecosystems matters. This hands-on experience sparks curiosity, builds confidence, and encourages teamwork—all while having a splash-tastic time on the bay! Afterwards, feel free to explore the Aquarium.
