Join us for the sea otter experience of a lifetime with Sea Otter Savvy! Cadettes, seniors and ambassadors are invited to use their citizen scientist skills to learn more about the sea otters at Morro Bay. After doing some citizen scientist field work, girls will get to go kayaking to get an even better view of the sea otters.
Dive into the world of sea otters and unlock their ecological importance! Learn about their playful behaviors, unique nutritional needs, and how they stay cozy in chilly waters. Get hands-on with Field Biology skills as you explore their habitats. Discover the mission of Sea Otter Savvy and craft your own plan to spread awareness and protect these adorable marine mammals in communities worldwide. Ready to make a splash for sea otter conservation?
Note: All girls must have photo permission in order to participate in this program! Parents and/or a troop leader/adult will need to stay with the girls for the program in order to transport them to each activity. Carpooling is highly encouraged!
There will be one kayaking spot for an adult to register for. All other adults will wait on shore during the kayaking portion of the program.
Fee: $80.00 for C/S/A - $50.00 Adult participating in program
