Alpha Omega Epsilon invites Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast for a exciting day of hands-on experience!
Anything that is built must first be engineered, or planned out. An engineer is a person who designs and builds products, machines, systems, or structures. Engineers want to know how and why things work.
In this engineering challenge we will break you up into small teams to investigate how different engineering designs apply to bridges. Throughout the day you will be able to build and test your own bridge and make improvements. Each team will have at least one engineering student mentor to help you along the way. At the end of the day we will have multiple challenges to test different aspects of your bridge prototype, and before you leave you will earn a patch to remember the event by.
Please bring:
A refillable water bottle with your name on it
A lunch
Parents are welcome to stick around - but this is a drop off event.
Patches will be handed out at the event!
