Program Aide Core Training (C/S/A) Online

All girls 6th grade and above are invited to attend Program Aide Core Training on their way to completing the steps of the Program Aide Award. Program Aide Core Training involves learning to work with children and adapting activities for special needs and situations. You will put your new skills to the test with hands-on activities that will prepare you for real-life situations working with younger girls at troop, day camp, council and service unit events.

This class is taught over three meetings with assignments in between each meeting. Assignments are all presented on Google Classroom. Girls will present and lead a badge during the last meeting.

  • Meeting 1: Thursday, Feb. 18th 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM PST (California time)
  • Meeting 2: Thursday, Feb. 25th 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM PST (California time)
  • Meeting 3:  Thursday, March 4th  6:00 PM - 7:30 PM PST (California time)

To earn a Cadette Program Aide award, follow these steps:

  • Earn one LiA award.
  • Complete Program Aide Core Training.
  • Work directly with younger girls over six activity sessions. You might work with a group, at their meetings, at a day camp, or during a special council event.
  • Information about the Award can be found on page 30 of the Cadette Guide to Girl Scouting.

Participants will be expected to participate in all three Zoom meetings as well as complete at-home activities and submit via Google Classroom. Girls are expected to attend all three meetings and to stay the entire time.
