During the attacks on our country on September 11, 2001, and in the many days to follow, everyday people became heroes by helping others in need and providing the hope, healing, and information that Americans needed. Who are the everyday heroes you see in your community?
Girl Scouts are invited to celebrate these everyday heroes and the heroes of 9/11 with artwork! All Girl Scout levels are asked to participate in the 2021 9/11 Community Month of Remembrance poster challenge. The challenge is to create a poster of your very own that says thank you to our everyday heroes. These posters can be dropped off at any of our retail locations to be displayed for the month of September, or can be shared by sending a picture to media@girlscoutsccc.org.
But don’t stop there! We encourage families to celebrate all day long by completing some of these amazing activities supplied by the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.
Retail locations will have the following fun patch for purchase in each location while supplies last. Patriot Day patch available for purchase for $1.25 each.
