For this year’s Coastal Cleanup, clean your neighborhoods, local parks, streets, and storm drains. Beach and ocean pollution often starts as trash that travels through storm drains, creeks, and rivers. By picking up litter in your community with your household, you will be helping clean the beach!
Cleanups are happening every Saturday in September. If Saturdays don’t work for you, don’t worry you can clean up any day at any time.
All cleanups in September will be included as part of Coastal Cleanup Month if you report your cleanup to your local coordinator and/or record it on the CleanSwell app.
There are no large, centrally organized cleanup sites this year due to safety concerns. This year, cleanups will be self-guided and close to home. Please make sure to practice social distancing and follow your local safety guidelines.
Complete one registration per Girl Scout once you complete a cleanup with your family to purchase your fun patch!
Always remember that beach cleanups start at your door!
**Patches will be mailed out after the end of Coastal Cleanup Month **
