Attend W.O.W. and earn the primary Santa Barbara Bird Sanctuary patch and the World of Wings feather rocker!
Meet the Bird Sanctuary’s Avian Ambassadors, a vast array of birds in glorious shapes, colors and seizes! We will explore their natural habitats, species behavior traits, and the personality quirks of birds.
Girls will gain an appreciation for parrots and the wonder of the avian world while building a connection to the Santa Barbara Bird Sanctuary; which can provide future service and educational opportunities.
Hands on experience: Girls will learn how to create a foraging enrichment item for parrots! If possible, please bring the following items: cardboard paper towel rolls, round coffee filters, tissues/ napkins, paper muffin cups, paper towels, raffia, wood chopsticks/ skewers, plastic bottle caps.
Wear comfortable layered clothing and close toed shoes suitable for hiking. Bring a full water bottle.
