A flag ceremony honors the American flag as the symbol of our country. Performing an indoor flag ceremony is a tricky task to do correctly. At this training TROOPS will receive instruction and an opportunity to practice until proficient.
Instruction will include how to properly handle the American Flag, correct folding techniques, the role of the various members of the guard and of the Girl Scout-in-charge (caller).
Outdoor flag ceremony training will be offered in the future. Troops interested in outdoor instruction must first complete this indoor session.
Cost is only $10 per troop. Please sign-up for a convenient time slot.
You may also order Flag Ceremony Patches for your troop. If you would like patches (.75/each) simply answer 'yes' and the quantity of girls signed-up will be ordered for you. Patches will be paid for and provided to participants at the training.
This workshop is being led by a Girl Scout Adult Volunteer and Troop Leader. If you are interested in volunteering to help lead badge workshops please contact info@girlscoutsccc.org.
