For the very first time, Girl Scouts are celebrating their love for the outdoors with Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend!
As one of the four pillars that form the foundation of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, getting outdoors allows for growth and learning that is an integral part of being a Girl Scout!
Girls will hear from park interpreters about local bird conservation efforts, Chumash history, and do a beach clean up service project!
At least one leader or adult chaperone per troop must have GSCCC Outdoor Training —Parent accompanying their Girl Scout only is exempt.
Each troop is responsible for packing their own camping equipment.
Each troop is also responsible for packing their own meals.
This event is taking place at night. Wear warm comfortable layered clothing and close toed shoes. Bring a reusable water bottle. No tagalongs. No pets.
This is not a drop off event.
Troop leader or adult chaperone is required to have all traveling forms for each participating girl. All drivers should be registered Girl Scout Members, have completed a background check, have a valid CA driver’s license and hold current vehicle insurance.
