For the second session of our Girl Rising Series we will be focusing on Sustainable Development Goals and how they help people around the world. Our guest speaker will be SLO Mayor Heidi Harmon.
Each session will focus on a different chapter from the film Girl Rising and include a guest speaker.
Wear warm comfortable layered clothing and closed toe shoes. Bring a reusable water bottle and snacks. While this event is open to all age levels the curriculum it is designed for Juniors and up. The films we will be watching often are in a different language, have subtitles and cover real world situations such as slavery.
Girls will not be earning their Global Action Award or World Thinking Day Award, but this series are intended to support your girls in earning these awards.
