Cooking with Critters (SLO) Flyer
You better get hungry! At this event girls will explore Entomophagy (eating bugs)! This practice is generally considered taboo in the United States, but in many parts of the world, eating insects is a part of daily life.
Girls will:
- Taste edible insects
- Learn about cooking them
- Explore the positive impacts of entomophagy on fworld hunger, environmental impact and sustainability and personal health benefits.
Note: Some of the snacks made during this program may be sensitive for people with food (nuts and shellfish) allergies.
Come wearing closed-toe shoes, hair pulled back and bring a refillable water bottle. No tagalongs. No pets.
This is not a drop off event.
