Meet the Bird Sanctuary’s Avian Ambassadors, delve deeper into endangered species, physical adaptations, and how to promote natural habitat conservation. Girls will learn about parrot rescue, rehabilitation and care at home and in the wild.
Girls will gain an appreciation for parrots and the wonder of the avian world while building a connection to the Santa Barbara Bird Sanctuary; which can provide future service and educational opportunities.
Hands on experience: Girls will learn all about handling parrots and the extensive care they require. Girls will also learn how to take action and be introduced to parrot conservation!
Wear comfortable layered clothing and close toed shoes suitable for hiking. Bring a full water bottle.
