Outdoor Skills Overnight Flyer

Tent camp at the Arnaz Program Center to learn or perfect your outdoor skills.  This is a great opportunity to implement your Outdoor Training with the support of other Girl Scout troops and at a  Girl Scout facility.  There will be experienced women and men available to teach the 10 essentials, knots, lashing, first aid, backpacking basics, compass and maps, flag ceremonies, camping, and fire building.

 Each group will be responsible for their own tent camping site, including meals.  Check in will be 5:00 PM.  Check out by 4:00 PM.  Each group must include an Outdoor Trained and First Aid trained Adult.  Please see Camping Safety Activity Checkpoints for additional guidelines.       

Troop leader or adult chaperone is required to have all traveling forms for each participating girl. (Annual Permission Form, Health History, Medication Permission Form, Permission to Release, First Aid Log) Forms can be downloaded from the council website. Review specific event requirements in Safety Activity Checkpoints before taking  any trip. All drivers should be registered Girl Scout Members, background check cleared, have a valid CA driver’s license and hold current vehicle insurance.
