New Leader Training LIVE! flyer

Lead like a G.I.R.L! Please join us in this informative and interactive training provided by Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast Volunteer Support staff. New Leader Training is a required piece of the Girl Scout troop leader experience.  Please see prerequisites below. Training is held at the Newbury Park Branch of the Thousand Oaks Library. This program is not a Thousand Oaks Library sponsored event.

All incoming New Troop Leaders, including volunteers stepping up as a troop leader, are welcome to join this exciting training. During this time, we will explore the functions of the Volunteer Took Kit, where leaders will learn to plan their troop year, communicate with parents with a click of a button, and view step-by-step activity guides for each meeting. Training will also cover Council required forms, banking procedures, and an overview of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Leaders will leave feeling confident, knowledgeable, and ready to lead like a G.I.R.L!

Highly encouraged to bring a laptop or iPad, and something to write with.
