Click here for 3rd Annual Enginnering Challenge Flyer
Anything that is built must first be engineered, or planned out. An engineer is a person who designs and builds products, machines, systems, or structures. Engineers want to know how and why things work. One of the traditional activities for young engineers is building a catapult that uses a lever to launch an object across a certain distance.
This engineering challenge will have small teams investigate how different catapult designs work, and then use that information to construct their own. Then kids test their catapults and make improvements to their original designs. Each team will have at least one college student mentor who is currently studying engineering.
Not only that, but you will earn a patch designed just for you through this event!
Please bring a packed lunch and a refillable water bottle with your
name on it.
Once registered, you will receive a confirmation
email with additional event information.
