Brownies will learn the basics of hiking; how to read a map, how to follow trail signs, and what they need to bring on a hike.
Brownies will be earning thier Hiker Badge in a hands-on, interactive course. They will be expected to partake in a short hike after the educational portion. This event will take place outdoors. Girls should wear appropriate clothing for the weather, closed toe shoes, bring water and wear sun protection.
Troop leader or adult chaperone is required to have all traveling forms for each participating girl.
