Join fellow Girl Scouts in this educational and fun opportunity to observe the beauty of Morro Bay in a unique way… under water!

Girls will observe underwater life of Morro Bay which may include schools of fish, jellyfish, and kelp from the semi submersible vessel, the SSV Seaview.

Above deck, girls will observe sea otter, harbor seal, and sea lion populations as well as sea birds diving, feeding and cruising the harbor.

This event is outdoors and on the water; the weather can fluctuate. Please wear layered, comfortable, warm clothes, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen and any other sun protection (hat, sunglasses, etc.) Please bring a reusable water bottle. Life vests provided.

No tagalongs, no pets

Troop leader or adult chaperone is required to have all traveling forms for each participating girl. (Annual Permission Form, Health History, Permission for Medication, Permission to Release) Forms can be downloaded from the council website here. Review specific event requirements in Safety Activity Checkpoints before taking any trip. All drivers should be registered Girl Scout Members, have  completed a volunteer application and background check, have a valid CA driver’s license and hold current vehicle insurance.
