Cadettes will explore the wonders of nature through applied art. Girls will visit the Randy Morgan Sandhill Preserve learning about the flora, fauna and endangered species that inhabit the preserve. Girls will learn some of the techniques used in scientific illustration, including field sketching, pen & ink, and colored pencil.

This event is outdoors and the weather can fluctuate. Please wear layered, comfortable clothes, closed toe shoes, sunscreen and any other needed sun protection (hat, sunglasses, etc.). Bring a water bottle and snack.
This is not a drop off event. No tagalongs. No pets.
Troop leader or adult chaperone is required to have all traveling forms for each participating girl. (Annual Permission Form, Health History, Permission for Medication, Permission to Release) Forms can be downloaded from the council website. Review specific event requirements in Safety Activity Checkpoints before taking any trip. All drivers should be registered Girl Scout Members, have completed a volunteer application and background check, have a valid CA driver’s license and hold current vehicle insurance.
