Come join fellow Junior Girl Scouts and Lori Neff, Owner of As You Wish Pottery to earn the Business Owner Badge: a cornerstone of the Girl Scout Financial Literacy Program!
Hosted at the Simi Valley, As You Wish Pottery Studio, Girls will work along side a woman business owner and complete the following:
· Explore a business you might like to start someday
· Learn the basics of running a business
· Find out what kind of support is available for small-business owners
· Investigate what makes great customer service
· Understand the importance of consumer research
Please remember to wear closed– toe shoes and bring a refillable water bottle. A light jacket is also recommended; this Badge Workshop will be held indoors.
Troop leader or adult chaperone is required to have all traveling forms for each participating girl. (Annual Permission Form, Health History, Permission for Medication, Permission to Release) Forms can be downloaded from the council website. Review specific event requirements in Safety Activity Checkpoints before taking any trip. All drivers should be registered Girl Scout Members, have completed a volunteer application and background check, have a valid CA driver’s license and hold current vehicle insurance.
