Join fellow Girl Scouts to learn about watersheds, estuaries, the plants and animals that rely on them and what you can do to keep our waters clean. Girls will participate in a “Stewardship through education” component at the end of the walk.
Girls will be walking an approximately 1/3 mile trail to the top of Black Hill overlooking the Bay. Along the way, girls will spot wildlife that makes the estuary its home as well as learning how they can keep their local waters clean. Girls will make an environmental pledge and do a wildlife drawing while enjoying the magnificent view of the area.
Please note that this event is outdoors. Participants should dress in layers, wear sun protection and closed toe shoes, and bring a water bottle.
