Come out and learn about geocaching! Discover a whole new way to enjoy the outdoors with your fellow Girl Scouts and earn your Be Wild, Be Free geocaching charm!

This event will be geared toward girls who have never been geocaching. We will learn about the various types of geocaches, geocaching etiquette as well as finding a few geocaches. Girls should be prepared to walk and be outdoors for the entire event. Please dress appropriately — layers, sun protection, and good walking shoes.

Space is limited due to the restrictions inherent to geocaching.

Troop leader or adult chaperone is required to have all traveling forms for each participating girl. (Annual Permission Form, Health History, Permission for Medication, Permission to Release) Forms can be downloaded from the council website here. Review specific event requirements in Safety Activity Checkpoints before taking any trip. All drivers should be registered Girl Scout Members, have completed a volunteer application and background check, have a valid CA driver’s license and hold current vehicle insurance.
