Facilitating Adult Learning Flyer

A Learning Facilitator is an adult volunteer that leads trainings for leaders and volunteers. In order to become a Learning Facilitator, you must attend a Training of Trainers workshop. At the workshop you can choose a specialty that you are interested in teaching and learn about next steps to leading trainings on your own.

This course is a pre-requisite to becoming a Learning Facilitator. It is designed to prepare volunteers to lead adult learning courses such as Stepping Out and Outdoor Training. Students will learn the Six Principles of Adult Learning and how to use the art of reflective learning to create engaging and informative training workshops.

Topics will include learning styles, conflict resolution, questioning styles and training courses offered by Learning Facilitators at Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast.

This 3-hour course will be in a classroom setting in Santa Cruz. Please bring your lunch and a refillable water bottle and pen.

All participants must have a current Girl Scout membership and background check on file.
