Kaleidoscope

Kaleidoscope

Calling all Junior through Ambassador Troops! Mark your calendars for April 17–19, 2026, and get ready for an unforgettable “It’s Showtime!”-themed Kaleidoscope event. Make sure to plan a campout or two beforehand so your troop is ready for overnight camping. You don’t need to be an outdoor pro to join the fun—just come with a spirit of adventure, a love for the spotlight, and make sure your girls have appropriate outdoor progression experience.

Kaleidoscope is a Camporee held every two years in Santa Barbara County for Junior through Ambassador Girl Scout troops.  There is something for everyone - outdoor skills for all levels, art, cooking, songs, games, Saturday evening program, and more! You can choose to participate in as much or as little as you like. Though Daisies and Brownies can't attend the event, they can participate in the Service Project. All the details will be in the Handbook coming soon. This event is held every other year and attracts approximately 1,000 girls and adults. Meet sister Girl Scouts from all areas of our council!

Kaleidoscope Skills Days

Want to learn more about the different Kaleidoscope Skill Challenges? Then join us for one of three Skills Days we will be hosting across our council! Kaleidoscope's main purpose is to promote outdoor skills and that has been a main focus ever since the first Kaleidoscope which was held in 1985. This makes the Skills Days training weekends an important part of the experience. Skills Days serve two purposes: introduce various skills to the girls OR refresh, practice, and enhance skills your girls have learned previously.
