Girl Scout Silver Award



Going for the Girl Scout Silver Award—the highest award a Girl Scout Cadette (grades 6-8) can earn—gives you the chance to show that you are a leader who is organized, determined, and dedicated to improving your community.

  • The prerequisite: one Cadette leadership Journey (Amaze!, Breathe or MEdia)
  • The project:
    • Identify a need in your community (outside of Girl Scouts)
    • Work alone or in a small group (no more than 3-4)
    • Go beyond community service to develop and implement a take action project making a sustainable and measurable impact
  • The paperwork: Submit the final report (with budget and time log) by September 30 following your 8th grade year.
