Marine Lab Monitoring Program Flyer
Interested in citizen science? Join Girl Scouts and the Central Coast Aquarium to take part in biological monitoring studies. Girls will be actively engaged in real-life scientific investigations and the scientific process, while collecting data that will be used to better understand the marine communities found along our coast.
Girls will learn the sampling methodologies used by scientists to study the sandy beach habitat and the species found here.
The data collected will be added to the Central Coast Aquarium’s databases, local scientist will also use this data for their own research.
Wear warm comfortable layered clothing and close toed shoes that can
get wet. Bring a reusable water bottle.
No tagalongs. No pets.
This is not a drop off event.
Troop leader or adult chaperone is required to have all traveling forms for each participating girl.
