Monarch Butterfly Adventure (D/B/J)

Visit one of the largest monarch colonies in the nation. Over 25,000 butterflies make this grove their home during their annual migration. Girls will learn about butterfly eating habits, life cycle, and migration patterns. They will also get to plant pollinator friendly seeds to take home.

*Optional ~ Any girls who would like to can come early and help the docents do the morning monarch count. IF girls are interested in this, please arrive at 7:00 am.

Official program begins at 8:00 am.

 

Troop leader or adult chaperone is required to have all traveling forms for each participating girl. (Annual Permission Form, Health History, Permission for Medication, Permission to Release) Forms can be downloaded from the council website. Review specific event requirements in Safety Activity Checkpoints before taking any trip. All drivers should be registered Girl Scout Members, have  completed a volunteer application and background check, have a valid CA driver’s license and hold current vehicle insurance
