Get ready to learn the First Aid skills needed to take your girls on outdoor excursions! This training is required for backpacking trips or trips that take your girls further than 30 minutes away from Emergency Medical Services (note: this includes walking time to meetup points or vehicles). This will be a 2-day class that will require you to attend the entirety of both days. You will receive a Red Cross certification in your email after completing both days of the training. This course will be held at Camp Arnaz.
Note: You must have a current Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED certification. This requirement has been set by Red Cross so there will be no exceptions.
Each day will be from 9am to 5:30pm. You are welcome to rent a space at Camp Arnaz to spend the night. Sites are available on a first come, first served basis. Contact sbarnhart@girlscoutsccc.org to reserve your site!
Open to Girl Scout adult members and Girl Scout Ambassadors - minimum age 16.
This class is hosted by Girl Scouts of California's Central Coast with a Red Cross certified instructor.
