The Beekeepers Guild of Santa Barbara will teach Girl Scouts all about bees and the amazing things they do. Girls will get to see bees in action in a very special observation hive. They will learn how they communicate, what flowers they like best, and how we can help the bees.
Brownies will earn all parts of the Legacy Naturalist: Bugs Badge with a special focus on bees.
Troop leader or adult chaperone is required to have all traveling forms for each participating girl. (Annual Permission Form, Health History, Permission for Medication, Permission to Release) Forms can be downloaded from the council website. Review specific event requirements in Safety Activity Checkpoints before taking any trip. All drivers should be registered Girl Scout Members, have completed a volunteer application and background check, have a valid CA driver’s license and hold current vehicle insurance.
