At Camp Arnaz's Adventure Range, girls are in for an exhilarating experience filled with a range of thrilling activities. From mastering the art of archery to honing their marksmanship through BB gun shooting, they can test their aim and precision in a safe and controlled environment. Additionally, girls can enjoy the challenge of slingshot target practice, combining skill and fun in one exciting endeavor. For those seeking a unique and empowering skill, the axe throwing program offers a chance to learn the technique and finesse required to hit the mark with confidence. Bullock's Archery Program Events
Join Bullocks Archery in partnership with Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast at their brand new outdoor Archery Range at Camp Arnaz!

Bullocks Archery offers private, individual lessons, as well as small and large group lessons. Bullock's Archery is also a mobile business. As long as there is adequate space we are able to go to your location and set up for indoor or outdoor shooting. 

We also specialize in bow sales and service, as well as custom fletched arrows. Our instructors are all proficient in traditional and compound bow techniques. Bullock’s Archery:  Bullocksarchery@gmail.com

Adventure Range FAQs

Who can sign up for programs?

Only registered Girl Scouts can sign up for range programs. Girls do not have to be a part of a troop to sign up for a program.

Do you allow Tagalongs?

We do not allow Tagalongs for range programs at Girl Scouts.

What is your reschedule/cancellation policy?

You can reschedule your program reservation up to three days before the program occurs. You have up to two days before the program to cancel your reservation.

Where can I find available Range Programs?

You can find a list of our available programs here. Descriptions of each program and level of Girls Scouts that can attend can be found under each individual program.

What to bring & Where to go

  • Please wear closed toe shoes and avoid any loose-fitting clothing or jewelry.
  • Make sure to check local weather (Oak View, Ojai, etc.) for an accurate idea of the weather conditions on the day of your program/lesson. Temperatures can vary from 35 degrees Farenheight to 45 degrees Farenheight during the winter and 95degrees Farenheight to 105 degrees Farenheight in the summertime.
  • We recommend sunscreen, bug spray, and baseball caps or sunglasses in our summer months and layers for warmth in winter or fall. Feel free to bring plenty of water and snacks!

Follow the path through the orchard to the left of the main lodge and check in with staff down at the range.

Private Booking

How long are private lessons?

Each private lesson runs for 1 hour.

Who can take private lessons?

Private lessons are open to the public for anyone ages 7 and above. We can take girls, boys, kids, adults, anyone who wants to come visit us.

How much do lessons cost?

Private lessons are $30 per lesson. We often run promotions and bundles for packs (series) of lessons, so make sure to keep an eye out for those!

Do you do group lessons?

Fridays are open for group sessions of up to 5 people.

What is your reschedule/cancellation policy?

1. We can offer a refund or reschedule up to 48 hours prior to your appointment. Anytime after that we can offer to reschedule without a refund. We understand that life happens- but please do your best to let us know within 12-24 hours if you will not be able to make it to your appointment.

2. No-shows: If a participant fails to show up for a scheduled lesson without prior notification, no refund will be provided. Rescheduling will be at the discretion of Camp Arnaz management and may incur a full lesson fee.

3. Late Arrivals: Participants arriving more than 15 minutes late for their lesson may have a shortened lesson duration or may be considered a no-show, depending on the discretion of the instructor.

4. Camp Arnaz Cancellations: If Camp Arnaz needs to cancel a lesson due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, safety concerns), participants will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional cost.

6. Emergencies: In the event of a personal emergency, participants are encouraged to contact Camp Arnaz as soon as possible. While the above policies will generally apply, exceptions may be made at the discretion of Camp Arnaz management on a case-by-case basis.

7. Payment: All lessons must be paid in full at the time of booking. Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 7 business days.

8. Acceptance of Policy: By booking a private Archery lesson at Camp Arnaz, participants agree to the terms of this cancellation and reschedule policy
