Join fellow Girl Scouts to learn more about the beautiful coastal wildlife and geology of the area. We may have a chance to spot wildlife, such as coyotes and rabbits, sea birds and ocean mammals. We will see interesting geological features and discuss the power of the ocean.

Girls will be walking a coastal trail along the ocean. Weather near the ocean can fluctuate. Please dress appropriately—layers, sun protection, and good walking shoes or hiking boots is recommended. All participants should bring a water bottle, preferably reusable.

There are picnic areas in the park so families may want to pack a lunch to eat after.

Troop leader or adult chaperone is required to have all travelingforms for each participating girl. (Annual Permission Form, Health History, Permission for Medication, Permission to Release) Forms can be downloaded from the council website here. Review specific event requirements in Safety Activity Checkpoints before taking any trip. All drivers should be registered Girl Scout Members, have completed a volunteer application and background check, have a valid CA driver’s license and hold current vehicle insurance.
