Join fellow Girl Scouts, grade 3 Brownies and older, to earn the second level, HUNTRESS, of the GSCCC Archery Patch Program! Each level must be taken in progressive order, Level 1, then Level 2, and finally Level 3. Other experience does not count as a prerequisite for any level of this program.

The bow, the instrument of the Archer, dates back to 6000 BC and has provided a safe and successful way to hunt through the millennium. Today, Archery is part of the Olympic Games and develops powers of concentration and coordination. The GSCCC Archery Patch Program has three tiers; Maiden, Scout, and Huntress.

Each tier has five steps;

· Safety

· Equipment

· Technique

· Target Practice

· Archery Opportunities

Level One Certified US Archery Instructors will delivery the program and work with the girls to provide a safe, educational and fun experience on their way to becoming a GSCCC Archery Huntress!  Equipment is provided!

Each girl must have a parent or guardian complete a High Risk Activity Form and bring it with them to the event.

Camp Arnaz has a strict closed-toe shoe policy! Please wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting “a little” dirty. Please dress appropriately!

Troop leader or adult chaperone is required to have all traveling forms for each participating girl. (Annual Permission Form, Health History, Permission for Medication, Permission to Release) Forms can be downloaded from the council website here. Review specific event requirements in Safety Activity Checkpoints before taking any trip. All drivers should be registered Girl Scout Members, have completed a volunteer application and background check, have a valid CA driver’s license and hold current vehicle insurance.
