Surfs up! Come join the Girl Scout Surf Day put on by the awesome lifeguard certified surf instructors with Sandbar Surf School! Girls will be divided into groups depending on age and will participate in a variety of fun activities including surf instruction as well as a beach clean up and educational activities that will teach girls about beach ecology and social responsibility.

All equipment will be provided including wetsuits.

*Please note: Surfing is considered a high risk activity. A general waiver form as well as a high risk activity form will be attached to the confirmation email. Girls will not be allowed to participate without both of the forms signed and brought to the event. Parents should be aware that surf clinics are a rigorous physical  exercise program and ocean  participation is a major part of the event. If a girl is sick or cannot participate in any activities, they should not attend. Exercise and activities will vary for the children depending on their age, size, strength, ability, confidence level, and ocean conditions.

 Troop leader or adult chaperone is required to have all traveling forms for each participating girl. (Annual Permission Form, Health History,Permission for Medication, Permission to Release) Forms can be downloaded from the council website here. Review specific event requirements in Safety Activity Checkpoints before taking any trip. All drivers should be registered Girl Scout Members, have completed a volunteer application an background check, have a valid CA driver’s license and hold current vehicle insurance.
